Upper Deck Cuts Vick Merchandise

July 29, 2007

Yet another company is stepping away from Michael Vick and his problems.

The trading card company, Upper Deck, has removed all Vick autographed memorabilia from its online store and will remove the quarterback's trading card from NFL sets scheduled for release in October.

Upper Deck joins the growing list of advertisers and companies that have dropped Vick. Nike suspended Vick's contract and Reebok, the official uniform supplier of the NFL, said that they will stop selling Vick's replica jerseys.

Last week in Richmond, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback pleaded not guilty to federal dogfighting charges.
