It wasn't here long, but a brief severe weather system knocked out power to roughly 4,500 people in the Charlottesville area late Friday afternoon.
At this point, there are still roughly1,100 people without power.
The storm produced 60mph winds and penny sized hail in some places. There were reports of trees down in Ivy, as well as other damage scattered throughout the area.
