Gas Scare Evacuates Buford Middle School
Buford Middle School in Charlottesville was evacuated Friday morning because of a gas leak. City officials said a natural gas line was cut by construction crews.

There was a bit of a scare Friday morning for staff at Buford Middle School in Charlottesville.
The school was evacuated because of a gas leak. City officials said a natural gas line was cut by construction crews.
Firefighters responded and were able to quickly shut off the gas.
The school reopened about a half-hour later.
