"It’s every little boy's dream, all day long," Bill Brooks said.

Brooks isn't a little kid anymore, but he's living his dream -- working on and around fire trucks.

Brooks does everything on the trucks, from fixing electrical problems under the dash to busted lights to the long ladders and sirens.

Brooks says he can sleep well at night knowing he’s doing his part to keep those who save lives safe as well. He calls his job rewarding.

"To me, it’s the best job in the world," Brooks said.
