Police Investigating Man Shot By Hitchhikers

Police in Louisa County are investigating a shooting involving two hitchhikers and a man who picked them up.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Two men were hitchhiking and were picked up by a driver near Zion Crossroads.

Officials say that the driver tried to get the men out of his car when they shot him twice.

That's when they fled the car running into the woods near Poindexter Road.

The man is suffering non life threatening injuries.

The two suspects are still on the loose.
