Albemarle County Police arrested two people for burglaries that stretch from Charlottesville to several locations across Albemarle County.
29-year-old Shawnita Nicole Graves and 26-year-old Dean Elliott Graves are each charged with three counts of breaking and entering and three counts of grand larceny. Shawnita Graves is also facing one count of arson.
Detectives from both Albemarle County and Charlottesville Police Departments started comparing reports after they noticed similarities in burglaries that were being committed in both the county and city.
Police said they found a large amount of stolen property a a home in the 800 block of Montrose Avenue. That is where the suspects were arrested.
Police said the burglaries date back to 2006. They said the suspects operated throughout Albemarle County, including Barboursville, Keswick, Cismont, Buck Island Road, North Garden, Plank Road, Dick Woods Road, Ivy and the Troy Areas.
Albemarle County detectives are also working with surrounding jurisdictions to see if the suspects can be tied to any burglaries in other areas as well.
The investigation is ongoing and police said more arrests are expected.
