The answer is no to a request for an appeal of the murder charge against Eric Abshire.
The Orange County man is currently serving a life sentence in jail.
Back in January a judge formally sentenced Abshire for murdering his wife, Justine Swartz Abshire. She was found dead in November 2006.
A jury convicted Abshire for her death after less than two hours of deliberation.
Eric Abshire was married to Justine for five months.
Wednesday a court of appeals judge denied an appeal, saying the Commonwealth's evidence against Abshire was sufficient to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
