Accused Dog Killer Facing Fewer Charges

January 24, 2013

Several charges against a man accused of killing a hunting beagle on his property last year have been dropped.

A group of hunters in Scottsville say Michael Mullins killed one of their dogs and destroyed its tracking collar.

On Thursday, a judge certified a charge of larceny of a dog to the grand jury.
However, charges of removing that tracking collar, cruelty to animals, and receiving stolen goods were dropped.
