"I'm not here to judge him, I would just say humility goes a long way." Explained Albemarle Co. resident, Earl Smith.
He has been petitioning to remove Chris Dumler from the board of supervisors.
Today he walked up to the county court house to hand in over 580 signatures from residents in the Scottsville district.
"I hope this helps the victims to know that so many people cared," says Smith. "i hope that it does make a difference, whether it means it causes him to step down or whether the judge thinks he should step down, recall his votes, I don't know"
Once the signatures are verified, Albemarle Co. will hold a hearing for dumler to discuss the petition at the circuit court.
"Politicians don't like making laws that govern themselves," says Smith. "Why wasn't it changed back in 2006, if it was we would not be standing here."
Residents are still upset with his presence on the board and this is yet another attempt to remove him from his supervisor position.
Smith explained "I'm here to do my right and I believe what i'm doing is right."
