Albemarle Police Arrest Man in Connection to Riverside North Death

Albemarle County police have made an arrest in the death of a man outside of the Riverside North Restaurant and Bar.

Joseph Martin Terry III, 32, is facing a felony charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Terry is accused of the death of Vincent Shifflett, who died after suffering an aneurism last month.

Investigators made the arrest after reviewing results from the Medical Examiner’s Office and consulting the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Terry is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail where he was held on a secured bond.
