Former governor and Senate candidate campaigned for Governor Romney and the republican ticket at the GOP Headquarters in Albemarle Square.

With just four days left and the most recent Rasmussen poll of likely Virginia voters says Mitt Romney has 50% of the vote and President Obama has 48%, republicans say they are counting down the minutes.

"We've been waiting for four years for this. We're going to be the first ones to vote on Tuesday. number one and number two, right here," said Normand Auger, an Albemarle County resident.

"I have promised and I will propose a bill to allow us in Virginia to produce oil and natural gas off our coast and use the royalties for roads and transportation. When we have Mitt Romney in the White House, who will say yes to Virginia, from our coal fields to our coast, that means jobs that means affordable energy," Allen said.

With jobs being quite possibly the biggest topic in this election the UVa students who came out tonight say they are genuinely worried about their future.

"Fifty-percent under employed or unemployed coming out of college? Do I really want to move back in with my parents? No. But it seems that's the reality these days," said David Aramony, a fourth year student at UVa.

Allen says it's time to fix that attitude and he says it's the Romney, Allen and Hurt team that will do just that.

"We need a government that's on the side of the job creators not on their back. My job is going to be to make sure that more Americans have jobs and restore the American dream," said Allen.

Thursday night's rally kicks off the last weekend before the election. And the last few days are filled with stops to Central Virginia by both campaigns.
