Foxfield hosted hundreds of dog lovers on Saturday and Sunday for the annual Charlottesville Albemarle Kennel Club Dog Show.
Dogs competed within their own breeds, and then the winners competed in groups with other breeds on each day, with different judges.
But it wasn't a weekend only for fully trained and groomed dogs ready to compete, a new program called 'My Dog Can Do That' let people bring their dogs by and learn different agility activities they can do right in their own backyard. It's a program by the American Kennel Club.
"It makes it so much fun to see a dog which has clearly never been out of the house before and we're working them up the teeter-totter one little step and cookie at a time and you know they're amazed their dog can do it," said Merissa Kriedler, the training coordinator at Dude Ranch Academy.
Sammy Snacks was the official sponsor of the show.
CAKC is also collecting donations for a police dog for the Charlottesville Police Department. Last year they raised half the amount of money needed for an Albemarle County police dog and this year they are trying to help the city.
