Central Va. Technical School Students Compete

Feb. 17, 2014

Students from career and technical schools in the area are coming together in Charlottesville to show off their skills and compete.

High school students from the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Augusta, Greene and Rockingham Counties all came out to CATEC for the contest.

The group participated in a wide variety of timed competitions including culinary arts, cosmetology, building trades and more.

“It amazes me beyond belief how they can deal with pressure and work with a limited amount of time and the focus and involvement and all they heart they put into all the skills they're learning,” said Libby Diaz, Massanutten Technical School student.

Students who do well in this district level competition will move on to the state level.
