The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce is speaking out against the proposed Human Rights Commission.
In a statement released Friday, the Chamber said they support a non-political, approach to protect human rights within Charlottesville, but oppose an appointed commission, with investigatory, subpoena and enforcement authority.
The Chamber sites unsuspected repercussions, as one of the key reasons for opposing the commission.
