The Charlottesville Cash Mob is featuring Blue Wheel Bicycles in its monthly event.
The Cash Mob operates like a flash mob by using social media to target a place where they will all show up, but instead of dancing and singing, the Cash Mob spends money.
Community activist Bob Fenwick helps run the Cash Mob, and he says they picked Blue Wheel Bicycles not because it is suffering and needs help, but because the owners do so much for the community, and it was time to pay them back.
Blue Wheel Bicycles is located in the Frank Ix Building just south of the Downtown Mall. They've been in business for more than 30 years now, but co-owner Scott Paisley says that sometimes people say they are hard to find.
"It feels a little off the beaten path, not everybody knows exactly where to Frank Ix Building is, but once you find us, it's a beautiful place and I think that is one of the big helps from an event like this, I think it helps improve the awareness of where to find us," Paisley said.
Every month, the Cash Mob will announce which business they are targeting on their Facebook page.
