The Charlottesville Fire Department responded to a brief scare at a Harris Road home when a fire broke out around a dryer.
Fire officials say it happened on the 200-block of Harris Road shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday.
The fire department is still investigating the cause, but there was no major damage to the home.
Two apartments inside were affected, but no one has been displaced.
Fire crews say they spent the most time clearing smoke from the house.
