The Jefferson Madison Regional Library (JMRL) is giving kids a chance to have all of their library fines and fees forgiven.
Thanks to the Fresh Start Program any Charlottesville child under the age of eighteen can pick up a "Golden Ticket" from any city school library, and some city youth services organizations.
Redeeming a golden ticket will clear all fines for lost, damaged, or late books from juvenile accounts.
Tickets can be used at the Central Library, Bookmobile, and the Gordon Avenue Library.
The Fresh Start Program is being funded by the City of Charlottesville, and golden tickets will be accepted from December 22nd through January 6th, 2013.
