You could hear one of the sounds of summer in Charlottesville on Tuesday night.
The Charlottesville Municipal Band performed its first concert of its 92nd annual summer concert series.
The theme of Tuesday night's concert was "The Music of Bernstein, Copland and Gershwin." The band played songs such as Aaron Copland's "Variations on a Shaker Melody" and "America" from West Side Story.
The kickoff concert at the Paramount was free to the public, as is all of the summer concert series.
