Hot chili was served up at the outside of the Ix Building in Charlottesville. A chili cook-off raised money for the local Ronald McDonald House.
The event was hosted by Red Shoe C'Ville. Visitors had a chance to sample a variety of chili’s before casting a vote for the best.
"What it means for the Ronald McDonald House is that allows families, when they might have a sick child, to stay together. And that is just so important to stay together at the hardest time," said event organizer Brooke Jenkins.
The group hopes to hold another chili cook-off next year. They’re hoping to raise $1,500 from this year’s event.
