Red Shoe Cville hosted a chili cook-off for a cause Saturday.
Chefs put their best chili on display outside of Wild Wing Cafe for tasting and judging.
There was also live music, face painting and balloon animals.
Red Shoe Cville organized the event to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charities.
"This helps out families that have their kids at UVa [Medical Center]," said Red Shoe Cville board member Carl Schwarz. "It's so difficult to have to travel, to come to a strange town and the house basically gives people a place to stay [and] helps them out while they are here, and it's important to make them feel like they are home."
This is the second year Red Shoe Cville has held the event.
According to the Ronald McDonald House, it costs about $70 a night to house, feed and support a family.
