Elliot Avenue in Charlottesville could soon look a little different for those walking, driving or biking along it.
City Council will consider Monday approving a streetscape project for the area, which would mean more trees and an improved design along the road.
The project is slated to cost about $43,000.
Councilors will get their first of two readings on Monday.
"It would be successful, I guess, to put a couple of shrubs, you know, some pretty flowers, extra trees and everything just to make the scenery a little bit more beautiful," Charlottesville resident Quentin Johnson said. "You know, a nice evening drive or a walk, it'd give you something extra to look at, you know what I'm saying?"
Two properties that face Elliot Avenue are currently being developed.
