Charlottesville City Council could give the final go-ahead on Tuesday to a master plan for Tonsler Park.

Councilors will consider adopting the master plan in its final version to provide more facilities to get more people into the park.

The plan includes safety improvements, preserving green space and expanding the recreation center already in the park.

If approved, city staff will provide cost estimates that are scheduled to be included in the five-year capital improvements plan.
