More than 20 people volunteered to plant trees in Crozet Park on Sunday to celebrate Crozet Trails Day.

The day began with the Crozet 5K run in the morning, and then families, local vendors and community members helped plant 15 trees in Crozet Park.

It is all in an effort to work toward the future Crozet Connector Trail that will link neighborhoods to commercial areas, and to the park and downtown Crozet.

The event featured live music, local vendors and businesses who came out to support the planting and make the day a full fall experience.
