It's time for the last push and both campaigns have their eye on Virginia. With vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan in Albemarle County on Thursday, Crutchfield Corporation has been preparing since Monday morning.
"It's been very exciting because non of us have b een involved in seeing a campaign stop like this. We've all seen the clips on television and we've been to them but this has been going on since Monday morning and it will be going on up until tomorrow evening," CEO of Crutchfield Corporation, William Crutchfield said.
Some employees say it's been a little overwhelming with the preparations but they say for the most part it is exciting to have an event like this at their place of work.
"All of my employees have gotten a kick out of this regardless of their political affiliation. They're proud to be part of it," Crutchfield said.
While he knows he is taking a risk, hosting a campaign rally at his company headquarters, he says whether he comes out for a republican or democrat candidate, there's negative comments no matter what.
"Especially with the internet age and blogs. There are a lot of negative comments on websites today about this," he said. "The vast majority of the people respect us as a business for the services and products we provide and not because of our political affiliation. If they only knew it, most companies have events like this."
Fifth district congressional candidate Robert Hurt will introduce Paul Ryan after the rally kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
