Some harsh words from Delegate David Toscano directed at Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli in a letter about Cuccinelli's possible conflict of interest.
Star Scientific, a Henrico-based supplement-making company, sued the state of Virginia in 2011 over a $700,000 tax dispute.
The investigation has remained at a standstill.
Cuccinelli, the Republican candidate for governor, reports owning $10,000 to $50,000 worth of Star Scientific stock, and reports receiving gifts worth nearly $13,000 from the company's CEO.
Democrats are once again asking Cuccinelli to resign from his current posistion as Virgina's Attorney General.
"We think it's a clear conflict of interest for him to own an interest in this company that's involved in a lawsuit with the Commonwealth of Virginia," said Delegate David Toscano. "That lawsuit should've been resolved a while ago, there's a lot of questions as to why it hasn't, and he really ought to step down as Attorney General."
The past six Attorney Generals running for governor have stepped down from their positions.
Cuccinelli has not budged from his decision to not resign from his current office as he campaigns for the November gubernatorial election.
