Divorce documents, for former Boy Scout leader David Watkins accused of sexual abuse of a child, describes an ugly split. The 2006 records show that Watkins's ex-wife shared her testimonies, telling a court that David Watkins had sexual abused a child.
At the time, attorney in part asked Mrs. Watkins,” Did you write that you thought maybe he'd found someone at boy scouts that he loves?"
"Other people's children," she replied.
The attorney also asked Mrs. Watkins,” By that, you meant you thought he'd found a boy?"
"Lots of little boys," she replied.
David Watkins is charged with sodomizing a child under the age of 13. The victim is a former Boy Scout in the troop Watkins founded and acted as group leader of until 2008.
Watkins's ex-wife went on to explain how she caught him sleeping in bed with a child. She testified that the child also suffered bruising from sexual contact and claimed he repeatedly showered with the minor.
The court found those accusation not credible.
Watkins bond review is scheduled for Monday at 9:00am in the Albemarle County Juvenile and Domestic Court.
