The Nelson County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday to discuss a proposed Dominion natural gas pipeline.
The pipeline would run from West Virginia to North Carolina while cutting through Nelson Co.
A group of residents have protested the project, saying it would negatively affect many farms, small business and conservation areas.
Dominion agreed to halt surveys until today, August 12, when they will present to the board of supervisors.
