Families Hope to Raise Awareness for Unsolved Cases

It has been two months since Nelson County teenager Alexis Murphy was last seen, but her family isn't giving up hope.

Family and friends of Alexis Murphy and Morgan Harrington are coming together Friday at an event to raise awareness for both of the girls' unsolved cases.

The Cue Center for Missing Persons is holding the event as part of their "On The Road to Remember" campaign. They have been traveling across the country bringing attention to cases of missing persons and unsolved murders. Family and friends of Alexis Murphy and Morgan Harrington will be at the event, and hope to shed light on both cases.

17-year-old Murphy was last seen August 3rd by her family. Randy Taylor was arrested in her disappearance, and he remains in jail.

20-year-old Morgan Harrington was murdered in 2009 after attending a concert in Charlottesville. Her killer has never been found.

The event will be held at the Lovingston Café in Lovingston at 2 p.m. on Friday.
