Dashad 'Sage' Smith is still missing after three months.
"It's the not knowing part that just really gets to me is not knowing if he's OK," said Dashad's grandmother, Lolita Smith. "It's not knowing if he's OK, if he's cold, if he's hungry, or if somebody is hurting him."
Smith's family has organized searches, and Charlottesville police dug through trash at a Henrico County landfill looking for clues, but nothing was found.
Smith's family is now raising money for a public service announcement.
"Get it nation wide so we can get other states and to run little segments of Dashad. Maybe somebody has seen him somewhere," said Smith.
Police are also asking for information in locating Erik T. McFadden, a person of interest in the investigation.
"To Erik if you can hear me, if you know what has happened to Dashad or if you know where Dashad is, please get in contact with us, we miss him and we want him home," said Smith.
Call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000 if you have any information that can assist investigators.
