Financial Report: $6 million Budget Surplus for Albemarle Co.

Officials announce a budget surplus of more than $6 million for Albemarle County.

The Board of Supervisors received its unaudited annual financial report on Wednesday for the 2013 fiscal year. The report showed that year-end revenue exceeded year-end expenditures, resulting in an additional $6,281,693 for the county.

The report indicates that year-end Actual Revenues equaled $220,645,600 compared to $219,512,064 in revised budget revenues. While year-end Actual Expenditures equaled $214,363,907 compared to $218,653,826 in revised budget.
