Former Boy Scout Leader Pleads Not Guilty to Sex with Minor

June 4, 2013

A former Keswick Boy Scout leader has pleaded not guilty to having sex with a minor.

On Tuesday, David Brian Watkins was formally charged with three counts of having sex with a child only identified as W.A. who is under the age of 13.

Watkins has pleaded not guilty to all three charges.

All three incidents are alleged to have happened sometime in 2005.

Watkins was arrested in November 2012 and charged with sodomizing one of the scouts in his troop.

He could face dozens of additional charges from a grand jury hearing, which is scheduled for August.

Watkins is scheduled to begin a bench trial on Dec. 17.
