A former associate dean at the University of Virginia pleads guilty to child pornography charges.
Fifty-year-old Michael Morris of Crozet appeared in federal court on Monday morning, where he plead guilty to two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
FBI agents say Morris logged onto a child pornography file sharing site over 200 times, sharing and downloading images and videos from his internet address, computer and hard drives.
Investigators say Morris did not have any physical contact with any of the victims beyond video chats, where he would pretend he was younger and encourage teenage girls to masturbate.
While the pornography they found in his possession focused heavily on teen girls, some of the images depicted victims as young as toddler age.
Agents say they have not identified any local victims, and they do not believe any of the activity happened while he was working at the university.
Morris has resigned from UVa. He is scheduled to be back in federal court in July to face sentencing. Morris faces a maximum of fifty years in prison.
