An event recognized diverse and local business successes.

The second Celebration of Business Diversity event celebrated local entrepreneurs. Forward/Adelante hosted the event.

Local business owners Daisy and Geiner Rojas of Rojas Stevens Painting won the Chuck Lewis Passion Award.

The recession hit the Rojas' business hard, but they regrouped, mortgaged their house to stay in business, and realized quality was more important to them in their business than quantity.

"Tonight was absolutely amazing. The community really came together and celebrated the wonderful achievement of Daisy & Geiner Rojas," said Tuan Nguyen, co-founder and CEO of C'ville Central. C'ville Central is a Benefit Corporation that unites small contractors to bid on large residential and institutional contracts.

Forward/Adelante connects central Virginia's diverse & Hispanic business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. It hosts networking events to bridge cultures through Chapter 6 Networking.
