Now is the time to adopt a pet from the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA if you have been thinking about it.
From July 1 to July 14, the CASPCA is holding its Freedom Adoption Special. It's an event celebrating the Fourth of July and the shelters 7th year of being a no-kill shelter.
During the event, all normally priced adult cats and dogs are free to adopt. All the pets are spayed and neutered and have all the appropriate shots up to date.
The hope that more people will take advantage of the special.
Kia, the proud new owner of cats, Malcolm and Martin, said, "It takes time and patience and a lot of love to show to any animal that you adopt. So, I encourage you to come to the SPCA to find a fun loving animal you might like."
Beth McPhee, CASPCA Director of Business Affairs, said, "We have lots of wonderful animals right now looking for their forever homes."
