Road crews will be installing a gas line under Route 250, near the McIntire Park wading pool.
The contractor for the project has removed the raised median along the 250 Bypass to allow one lane of traffic in each direction to be shifted along the four existing travel lanes west of McIntire Road.
In addition, northbound McIntire Road will be reduced to one lane between Harris Street and the Route 250 Bypass in order to direct turning vehicles to their proper lanes on the Bypass.
Officials say there will be no lane closures or traffic shifts between 7 and 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM each day.
The gas line operation is scheduled to be completed by Saturday, July 20.
Drivers should expect delays and are urged to use alternate routes when possible.
