George Allen's Wife Campaigning To Help Win Voters

Susan Allen the wife of former Governor George Allen visited Charlottesville Friday to help with her husband's campaign. George Allen is running for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Susan Allen organized volunteers on the Downtown Mall to help speak to voters and collect signatures for George Allen. Susan Allen says her husband will work to create more jobs for young people and support America's energy independence.

"People across the Commonwealth are very excited about George running for the U.S. Senate. This is his home territory. He served in the House of Delegates in this area for many years in Albemarle and Nelson counties," said Susan Allen. "He served in Congress and represented this area."

George Allen's likely Democratic rival in the race is former governor Tim Kaine. Susan Allen will also, be having a dinner party hosted by Allen's friends.
