Governor Repeals Hybrid Vehicle Fee During Radio Show

Feb. 26, 2014

Virginia's annual fee for hybrid vehicles has been repealed.

Wednesday morning, Governor Terry McAuliffe signed the bill dumping the fee live on a Washington D.C. radio station.

The measure passed the House of Delegates and the Senate during the 2013 transportation funding overhaul.

The bill repeals the annual $64 fee on the vehicles and refunds money paid early for the following year.
