Gun Thief Has A Change of Heart

March 29, 2013

A gun thief in Louisa has had a change of heart.

Deputies say someone broke into a home over the weekend and stole money and five guns. Then a couple days later, four of the guns were returned.

"They brought back every gun except the pistol," said John Koss, the homeowner. "They set them at the end of the driveway like, 'Oh my God, we're scared!'"

"It's very unusual," said Major Donnie Lowe with the Louisa County Sheriff's Office. "In my 26 years of law enforcement, I've only seen it happen one other time."

Koss put a note on his broken window, warning the thief about coming back to the house.

Deputies say there have been a rash of daytime burglaries in the county recently.
