Kids got an early Christmas present and a picture with Santa Claus himself this morning's 'Breakfast with Santa' event by the Circle-K International Club at the University of Virginia

More than a hundred volunteers led arts and crafts and games, in addition to serving breakfast to Charlottesville families, all to help get everyone in the holiday spirit.

It was held in the Ern Commons at the Alderman Road Residence Halls from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

"It's great to just do service that's within our community so that we can directly see the impact. A lot of times, we're not able to see the kids because we're at school, but it's great to see just how diverse our community really is," said special events chair and second-year student Adela Mahmutovic.

She says it's their biggest service event of the holiday season, and about 200 people, mostly children, ended up coming for this year's 'Breakfast with Santa' event.
