Albemarle County Parks will soon be undertaking maintenance and improvement projects at Mint Springs Park.

The projects will begin in early January, and will require the pumping down of the lake to allow the repair and rebuilding of the swimming dock and the beach-access bridge. This scheduled maintenance will involve the removal and replacement of the sub structure, cross members, deck trusses, decking and bridge railings.

Staff will begin securing the lake for safety on Dec. 23rd, as well as being posting no trespassing signs for the projects. Fishing will not be allowed in the upper lake area during the projects.

Access to the lower fishing lake and other areas of the park will be open to the public as normal.
