The Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) is saying a special thank you to their many volunteers during this National Volunteers' Week.
Volunteers gathered at the Jefferson School in Charlottesville on Wednesday.
They had the opportunity to check out exhibits, enjoy some entertainment, have lunch and win a few door prizes.
There are more than eighteen-hundred JABA volunteers in Central Virginia and organizers say they help to keep the many locations going.
Volunteers have donated more than 41,000 hours, which equals about a million dollars’ worth of service.
