Charlottesville got a taste of Las Vegas Saturday night as the Junior League of Charlottesville hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Omni Hotel was decked out in diamonds and pearls for the group's "Vintage Vegas" event.
All proceeds from the gala will go to the Junior League's community partners like The Boys and Girls Club of Charlottesville and Children, Youth and Family Services and put toward various grants.
This is the fourth year the Junior League has held a casino night, and organizers say it's been a popular event.
"People love the theme. It's a laid back atmosphere. There's dancing, there's cocktails and fun activities, and so we've been really successful with this platform," said fundraising chair Grace Garrigan.
David Boisvert and his wife are new to the area, so they decided to attend the gala to help out the community and meet some new people.
"We're taking full advantage of everything, from the silent auction to the gaming to enjoying the company and getting to know some new folks in Charlottesville," Boisvert said.
Garrigan says 275 people registered for the event but many more were requesting last-minute tickets.
