Kroger has begun a major renovation of its Barracks Road Shopping Center store in Charlottesville, adding a pharmacy.
Kroger will invest $2.65 million in the project and create 10 jobs for a total employment of approximately 160 associates at the store.
The supermarket will also be remodeling and expanding sections such as the deli, wine area and sushi bar.
The remodeling is scheduled to be completed in November, during which the store will be open to customers. Kroger also has stores in Charlottesville at Rio Hill Center and at Emmett and Hydraulic Road.
