Law Firm Seeking Nominees for "Hometown Heroes"

April 21, 2013

A local law firm is looking for extra special members of our community, and they want some help in identifying them.

Law firm Allen & Allen needs nominations for this year's "Hometown Heroes" campaign, which started in 2010. The firm says it's looking for a particular kind of nominee.

"People who provide services every day who might seem ordinary in many ways but indicate a certain involvement and interest in the community that makes it a really good place to live," said Jack Berry of Allen & Allen. "We feel like those people deserve some notoriety and be honored for what they do."

The law firm will select 50 people from across the state, including Albemarle County and Charlottesville.

Entries will be accepted until May 3. The 50 "hometown Heroes" will be announced on June 12 and honored at a ceremony later this summer.
