Lawsuit Against Shops at Stonefield is Moving Forward

Oct. 29, 2013

A lawsuit against the Shops at Stonefield over flooding concerns is moving forward.

The lawsuit claims Stonefield’s drainage pipe installed under Route 29 could cause flooding, as well as affects businesses on the eastern side of the road.

Pepsi and the Great Eastern Management Company filed the suit against Stonefield developer Edens. They want the storm-water pipe to be blocked.

Albemarle County Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Higgins has not scheduled a trial date.
