"Layaway Angels" are helping struggling families this holiday season. The angels anonymously pay over-due layaways for families who only have toys on their bill, making sure kids have something under their tree this Christmas.
"Hundreds and hundreds of dollars, the Layaway Angels have given thousands of dollars just in this particular store," said Kmart store manager, Gerri Clark.
The identity of the "angels" are unknown, but their act of giving brings smiles to those who are struggling to make ends meet.
Clark recalled one angels story of giving. "She was a teacher, and she said that her husband was laid off, that they saved money, they were frugal and wanted to pay it forward," said Clark.
Clark says the gesture of giving makes so many families happy. "It restores your faith in mankind".
