Library picks "True Grit" for Annual Big Read Event

Feb. 14, 2014

The Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL) is inviting all readers to join in The Big Read program.

Partnering with the National Endowment for the Arts, the Big Read will be held during the month of March.

The Big Read concept is simple: to have as many people as possible in our community reading the same book at the same time.

This year's book is “True Grit” by Charles Portis.

JMRL will be hosting many free community programs and discussions about the book, as well as other western-themed events, at all library branches.

The schedule of events for the Big Read can be found at the link on the side.
