A Crozet brewery is taking home a big honor from a beer festival.
Starr Hill Brewery won first place in the American cask real ale category at the 36th Annual Campaign for Real Ale Great British Beer Festival.
Their Bourbon Barrel Cryptical Imperial Stout beat out 196 other cask ales from the U.S. to claim the Michael Jackson Award, which was named for the influential beer writer who passed away in 2007.
Starr Hill Brewery was founded in 1999 in Charlottesville by Mark Thompson and Kristin Dolan.
