It's been weeks since the landfall of Hurricane Sandy, but Charlottesville residents are still stepping up to help out their neighbors to the north.
Calvary Chapel of Charlottesville is organizing, collecting, and delivering items to the people of Middletown, New Jersey. This week, they are asking the community to help.
They are asking for a wide variety of items including, water, flash lights, batteries, diapers, wipes, granola bars, canned foods, gloves, hats, coats, blankets, toiletries, tarps, ropes, cleaning supplies, first aid items, and gift cards.
This isn't the first time the church has organized hurricane relief. They did the same thing seven years ago after Hurricane Katrina.
