An Albemarle County-grown business has received a top award for its sales growth.
Advanced Network Systems, an IT company based in Albemarle County that provides technology products and services, has been honored by Cisco Systems for its year-over-year growth.
"For us, what it is is about the commitment that we have to meeting the technology and the business goals of our customers," said Lorri Haney, the vice president of Advanced Network Systems, Inc. "For us, that is everything."
The Top Performing Channel Partner award recognizes the company's ability to meet the technology and business needs of its clients. The company is the only partner in the mid-Atlantic region to receive this award.
Advanced Network Systems had a goal of a 20 percent sales increase year over year. The company has doubled its goal.
"I think that the growth that we have seen in recent years has been because we offer our customers a very high level of support, the right technical expertise," Haney said.
The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce said small growing businesses like Advanced Network Systems are an important part of the economic growth and vitality of the region.
